Photos are a must when going on vacation, as it is the best way to capture your memories. And now that almost everyone has a smart phone there are no excuses not to take amazing vacation pictures. Therefore, we comprised a list of some great photography tips that will help you with capturing that perfect vacation moment.

1. Shoot right before sunrise or sunset. The soft lighting makes it a perfect setting for capturing beautiful images.

2. Most of us seek the sunshine during our vacation; however, check the weather forecast and save your picture taking for a day that is overcast. Again this soft light setting allows for amazing photos because there is not a lot of hard light or shadows.

3. Rely more on your camera's ISO (light sensitivity setting) setting rather than using the flash. Of course, you will need to understand ISO, here is a great link for more information on the subject.

4. Use the rule of thirds. To do this imagine four lines, two lying horizontally across the image and two vertical creating nine even squares. Using this grid you can determine whether your subject should be at the center point of the grid, but you should also try to make your subject off center to create a more aesthetically pleasing photograph. It has been proven time and time again that the rule of thirds is more interesting and pleasing to the eye.
